Living Classroom

About the Project

“The activities were engaging for the students. I like that they are hands on. It was fun for them to look for animal habitats around the school. They enjoyed planting vegetables and planting their own seeds to bring home. The docents did a great job using kid friendly language.”

Teacher , Campbell Union School District

Supported by the Open Space Authority, Living Classroom partnered with the Campbell Union School District to continue an environmental education program focusing on three key areas: environmental literacy, connection to healthy food and life and earth science lessons. Open Space Authority funds contributed to a Next Generation Science Standard-aligned curriculum program, providing lessons that stimulate curiosity and are taught in the beautiful and educational school gardens they create and maintain.
