About the Project

“We are so grateful for the Open Space Authority’s grant to power nature access and science education for thousands of kids. This funding will help us give youth in the community the opportunity to learn about the natural world.”

Diana Garcia , Board Member, Environmental Volunteers

Funded by the Open Space Authority, Environmental Volunteers' project brought a wide variety of hands-on science and nature programs that meet the needs of students, teachers and parents of Title I schools in the Santa Clara Valley. Their programs help develop science skills, inspire a love of nature and promote environmental stewardship among students. Through this project, Environmental Volunteers provided support and resources to underserved communities to ensure the outdoors and science and nature education are accessible to all.
