About the Project

The Open Space Authority contributed $425,000 toward the City of Santa Clara's project to create this 3-acre neighborhood park, originally named San Tomas Community Garden Park, located along the San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail, on the southwest corner of San Tomas Expressway and Monroe Avenue. The grant funded a community garden, open space and picnic area.

“This project accomplishes numerous important goals, including providing parks and open space facilities that are readily accessible and provide connections to multiple destinations. In addition, we want to continue increasing the parks-to-people ratio in the City of Santa Clara.”

James Teixeira , City of Santa Clara Parks and Recreation Director
