Urban Grower Network

Veggielution

About the Project

Supported by the Open Space Authority, the Urban Grower Network is Veggielution’s response to the need for community-based food and environmental organizations to better coordinate themselves around specific work and projects, to grow their collective impact. The Urban Grower Network initiative offers a unique opportunity for a committed group of grassroots environmental education and urban ag agencies and community members to build relational trust and connections.

The Urban Grower Network Steering Committee comprises: California Native Garden Foundation, The Forge Garden at Santa Clara University, Guadalupe River Park Conservancy, La Mesa Verde at Sacred Heart Community Services, Our City Forest, Taylor Street Garden, Valley Verde, and Veggielution.

This grant will help Veggielution fulfil their commitment to support the infrastructure of collective impact as the initial backbone organization of the Urban Grower Network, where they serve as project manager for the effort by coordinating initiative meetings, developing and implementing operational plans, coordinating the flow of information and collecting data.
