Projects Funded by Our Grant Programs

The Open Space Authority's Grant Programs help connect people to nature in their neighborhoods by funding urban projects and programs throughout our jurisdiction. Learn more information about these projects located throughout Santa Clara Valley below.

Grant Projects

The Open Space Authority contributed $173,021 to improvements at Edith Morley Park, a 5.5-acre site located adjacent to percolation ponds on Campbell Technology Parkway.

The Alviso Adobe, a 175-year-old farmhouse, is one of the oldest buildings in the area. In 2005, the Open Space Authority contributed $356,837 towards the City of Milpitas’ project to restore the building and expand the property, turning it into a city park.

The Open Space Authority contributed funds towards the Santa Clara County Public Health Department's "Park and Play Initiative," which aims to address health equity related to park utilization by underserved communities.

The Open Space Authority contributed funds towards the City of Campbell's "Nido Neighborhood Reforestation Project," which added 116 new trees in a disadvantaged neighborhood in Central Campbell.
