Small Scale Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture in Santa Clara County Report

The Open Space Authority contributed funds to the Santa Clara County Food System Alliance's "Small Scale Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture in Santa Clara County Report," highlighting potential models for creating successful small-scale agricultural operations.

Martial Cottle Park

he Open Space Authority contributed funds towards the County of Santa Clara's efforts to open a 288-acre urban park on the Martial Cottle Family Ranch.

Santa Teresa County Historic Park

In 2002 the City of San José, in partnership with Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation, used a $900,000 grant from the Open Space Authority to purchase property to expand Santa Teresa County Park Historic Area.

Stojanovich Family Park

The Open Space Authority contributed funds towards the development of a 1.3-acre park in Campbell.

South Page Ponds

An allocation of $109,000 from the Open Space Authority to the City of Campbell helped fund trails, landscaping and benches on the site of percolation ponds along Hacienda Avenue.

Selma Olinder Park

The Open Space Authority granted the City of San José $600,000 to construct a segment of Coyote Creek Trail as part of the Selma Olinder Park development.

Three Creeks Trail

The Open Space Authority contributed funds totaling over $3.2 million towards the purchase of land along the former Union Pacific railroad in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San José.

Ulistac Natural Area

The Open Space Authority funded two phases of improvements for this 40 acres of open space along the Guadalupe River in Santa Clara in 1999 and again in 2004.
